Custom Agri Systems
Celebrating 35 Years in Business
A Family of Companies
July 1981 – July 2016
Custom Agri Systems is a family owned and operated business founded in 1981 by Rick and Esther Storch in Napoleon, Ohio; in 1982 his brother Gary joined in the business and now is the Operations Manager. Rick and Esther’s son Brad started in the business in 1991 and is currently Vice President of Administration. Keeping CAS a family operated business you’ll see several extended members of the Storch family working at CAS.
Custom Agri System first service vehicle was a late 1970’s Green Chevy Station Wagon! You could find Rick with his tools and torches working from the back of the station wagon servicing dryers or doing millwright work on projects. Their first business location was the living room of their home from 1981 to 1989 when they moved to a location with about 2000 sq. ft. that has since been torn down and replaced with a Burger King! Custom Agri Systems in Napoleon boasts an 80,000 sq. ft. facility and companywide service fleet has grown from the used Chevy Station Wagon to over 150 titled vehicles. The full time year around employees include the current 168 personnel; construction season personnel increase to over 250 people.
In 2000, Rick recognized that his current management skills were maxed out and for CAS to grow he must hire qualified people that could do the jobs required to grow the business, allowing him to concentrate on doing jobs that allow him to best utilizing his skills.
What followed was the expansion of the business:
- Yagel Grain Systems- Columbia City, IN. 2000
- Custom Agri Systems- Upper Sandusky, OH 2004
